Why should I sell on The Gift Keeper?

The Gift Keeper is one of the very few platforms that enables sellers across India to publish products as part of print on demand service, here buyers can view their logos on all listed products online and place orders.

Who can sell on The Gift Keeper?

Anyone selling new (unused), genuine products, is welcome on our platform. In order to start selling, you need to have the following:

  • GSTIN
  • PAN Card (Personal PAN for the business type “Proprietorship” and Personal + Business PAN for business type as “Company”)
  • Bank account and supporting KYC documents (Address Proof, and Cancelled cheque)
  • Minimum of 1 product to sell
  • You need to have capacity to ship products across India
  • Your products may have option of customising (printing/ debossing/ engraving/ etching, etc) them with client logo

How do I sell on The Gift Keeper?

To sell on The Gift Keeper:

  1. Register yourself at thegiftkeeper.com and submit required documents
  2. Click on products listing tab and follow instructions. Once your documents and products are verified by our team we will send you all product images depicting logo placement options and output colors
  3. Once you approve these images your products will be visible on the website and you are ready to receive orders
  4. Once an order is received, and payment status reflects “paid” on partner dashboard you can start customizing the product basis mockup file received.
  5. Once the product is ready for shipping change the order status to fulfilled and enter the AWB number along with shipping company name in fulfillment tab
  6. Once an order is successfully delivered to the customer, we will settle your payment by Tuesday/Wednesday of the subsequent week

 

PRICING, FEES & PAYMENTS

Who decides the price of the product?

As a seller, you will set the price of your products.

How should I price my product?

We recommend the pricing of the product to be equal to or very similar to the pricing of the product (or similar product) on e-commerce stores as customers have a tendency of comparing pricing from such stores.

What should my product price include?

Your list price must include 4 components:-

  • Cost of product
  • Cost of 1 logo/artwork customization (printing/debossing/engraving/etching, etc) on the product
  • Shipping across India, you can choose if you need to ship products via road or air
  • The Gift Keepers 15% referral fee

Example: if you have a product with price as INR 100, you charge INR 10 for customisation and shipping as INR 30 then your selling cost is INR 161 {(100+10+30) + 15% x (100 +10 +30)}

What is fee charged by The Gift Keeper?

There are no charges for listing a product, but we have a flat referral fee of 15% which is charged when an order is received. This fee is applicable on the list price for all products except for gift cards where we charge a flat fee of 5%.

How will payments be credited?

Settlements will be made on a weekly basis and money will be transferred via NEFT. For orders delivered between Monday-Sunday, the payment will be credited to your account by Tuesday/Wednesday of the following week

Who ships the products?

Sellers ship products directly to customer.

 

MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY

I have a minimum order quantity for customization or manufacturing, can I still list my products?

Yes, you can set up minimum order quantity basis your production efficiencies, these can range from one unit and go as high as 1000 units. Lower than MOQ higher are your chances of getting an order

 

CUSTOMISATION

Are customization options required to list products?

Listed products may have option of customizing (printing/ debossing/ engraving/ etching, etc) them with client logo. Option of customization need to be selected at the time of product listing.

Customization quality is critical for our corporate customers, hence it is important that these are durable for few months and do not come off with a simple scratch.

Can a customer cancel an order after customization has begun or order delivered?

Customers do not have the option of canceling an order once customization has begun on products. The only exception is the case where the customer receives order and customization guidelines are not met by the partner, also customer complaints within 48 hours of receiving the products.

In such cases customers can be issued 100% refund for the quantity under objection, however, the Gift Keeper’s fee will be chargeable and adjusted against any future order. In case there are 5 such instances in a period of 3 months the partner account will be blocked for a period of 14 calendar days. In case such errors continue The Gift Keeper has a right to block the seller on a permanent basis.

 

ORDER MANAGEMENT & DELIVERY

How do I manage my orders?

You can easily view and manage orders through our partner dashboard. Whenever a customer places an order, we send you an e-mail alert. Only start production when payment status reflects “paid”

What should my delivery timelines include?

Delivery timelines include manufacturing time (if required)+ customization time + delivery time to customer

Who will ship the product? Do I need to courier my products to the customer or will The Gift Keeper do the same?

Seller will be shipping the product directly to the customer and are responsible for safe delivery of the products to customers

What happens if I don’t meet delivery timelines?

In such a scenario customer has an option of canceling the order. No payment will be made to the seller even if logo customization has been done on the product, however, the Gift Keeper’s fee will be chargeable and adjusted against any future order. In case there are 5 such instances in a period of 3 months the partner account will be blocked for a period of 14 calendar days. In case such errors continue The Gift Keeper has a right to block the seller on a permanent basis.

What happens in case we run out of stock and customer places order?

In such a scenario customer has an option of canceling the order. No payment will be made to the seller, however, the Gift Keeper’s fee will be chargeable and adjusted against any future order. In case there are 5 such instances in a period of 3 months the partner account will be blocked for a period of 14 calendar days. In case such errors continue The Gift Keeper has a right to block the seller on a permanent basis.
